Winter Wonderland

The future lies before you, like a field of fallen snow; Be careful how you tread it, for every step will show.

Get the hot chocolate made, fuzzy socks ready, and the fireplace started for this afternoon’s snow storm! Multiple inches of snow is expected to blanket the ground ; embellishing the ordinary buildings and walkways, making them more enchanting. The world turns to a magical state, and the beauty of winter prevails.

~Just a little rambling of my mind… As you all may already tell, we are preparing for “typical but not so typical” snowfall here, in my hometown. One thing I noticed is the heavy amount of negativity being spread around.. People are complaining about the traffic, ice, cancellations… So much so, that people are completely ignoring all of the wonderful things that snow brings!!

Just think about how incredible it is to watch young children see snow for the very first time; How lovely it is to see families laughing and spending time together; How fun it is to build a snow fort with the neighbors across the street; How mystical it is to walk outside into a transformed wonderland!!! I think that we should all just sit back and enjoy the moment. We only live once!! Stay safe and warm! 🙂
