9 Christmas Favorites

IMG_0398

Christmas is coming up so quickly, and I can hardly believe that it is only nine days away! In honor of this countdown, I thought it would be fun to share nine things that I love about this time of the year…

  1. The lights– Christmas lights make me so happy! My family often dedicates a night to view lights around town a few days before Christmas.
  2. Egg nog (non alcoholic)– I have an obsession with this seasonal beverage.
  3. Shopping– As stressful as it may be at times, I really enjoy Christmas shopping and finding special gifts to give my friends/family.
  4. Music– I may sound crazy, but I usually start listening to Christmas music November 1st because I love it so much!
  5. Cookies– I always look forward to eating that sweet batch of Christmas cookies.
  6. Family– I really love it when family and friends gather to celebrate.
  7. Christmas Dinner– Those of you who have been following my blog for awhile probably know that I absolutely love food, and Christmas dinner is the best!
  8. Wrapping gifts– It is so fun to wrap gifts and place them under the tree.
  9. Movies– There is no better way to get in the Christmas mood than to snuggle up in a nice, fuzzy blanket and watch holiday movies!

Do you like any of these things too? Did I miss anything?

Thanks for reading, and have a great week! πŸ™‚

  1. I like all of those things, as well! I’m not sure where you live, but snow is missing from the list. It doesn’t often come here (Prescott, AZ) at Christmas time, either. I loved it, though, growing up in New England.

    1. Aw darn, you are right. I forgot to add snow to my list! πŸ™‚
Snow typically comes in January where I live, but it always special when it comes on Christmas day. I would miss the “winter wonderland” too, but at least you can truly enjoy it when it isn’t such a frequent occurrence.
I hope you have a very Merry Christmas, and thank you for sharing!

  3. Christmas the absolute best! I’ve never made cookies at Christmas time, that’s something I’ll definitely have to do! I also love getting to dance the Nutcracker and listen to all of it’s gorgeous music at Christmas!

    1. Wow, really? Cookie making is very fun during the Christmas season, and I would definitely recommend testing out a few new recipes!
The Nutcracker IS such a fun ballet, and I really love dancing the different roles too. Did you perform in the Nutcracker this year? I hope that you are doing well, and it is so nice to hear from you! πŸ™‚

      1. Yes, I can’t BELIEVE I haven’t made any! I reckon I might make some good ol’ chocolate chip ones before Christmas day!
I did perform in the Nutcracker this year! I was in mirlitons, an added woodland scene and snowflakes! It was really nice to hear from you too!

        1. Ooo that sounds good! That is so neat, and it sounds like we had very similar roles this year! I was a Mirliton, the snow queen, and a maid. A woodland scene sounds very cool, and I am glad that your Nutcracker went well. Have fun making your cookies, and happy holidays!! πŸ™‚
