“God gives every bird its food, but He does not throw it into its nest.”
~Josiah Gilbert Holland
The Lord provides the tools that are necessary to achieve something great, but He does not just hand you success in a gift box. You must do your part by opening your heart to Him and putting in the effort to discover His chosen path for your life. In other words, he gives you seeds, but it is up to you to plant them. Once you take that step, He will nurture you and help you grow, but you must be willing to put the work in.
Keep this in mind as you pray for your dreams and goals to become a reality…
Yours Truly,
little Olive.
Did you enjoy this Parakeet Post? What does this quote mean to you?
Also, you may have noticed that there have been several changes to the blog over the past few days. I decided to mix things up a bit, and this led to the addition of a header image, sidebar text updates, revised pages (available on the Menu), and the creation of a new tagline! Maysa Rose is now “the random musings of me.” Let me know what you think in the comments below, and I hope that you have a great weekend!
Loved it! 😀

Indeed! God showed Adam and Eve all the fruits in the Garden of Eden (except the one of knowledge which He ordered them not to pick), but He did not simply give those fruits to them; the first parents had to pluck those fruits from the trees. Similarly, the Lord gave the Israelites manna from heaven during their 40-year exile under the leadership of Moses – but it was up to the Israelites themselves to make the manna they collected into cakes for their nourishment.
Interestingly, this reminds me of a Filipino proverb: “Nasa Diyos ang awa, nasa tao ang gawa.” Literally translated, it means that mercy relies on God, but effort relies on the person. In a deeper sense, it conveys that God can only provide the necessary tools for someone to succeed – and it is entirely up to the person if they want to take the first step and succeed.
