“May we think of freedom, not as the right to do as we please, but as the opportunity to do what is right…”
I hope that you all have a safe and blessed day, full of joy and celebration.
HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!! 🙂
*photo taken of me jumping into the pool, thanks to my friend.
Internet issues have been solved, so I can finally post for the very first time on my little desk in the dorm!!!!!! I have missed you all so much, and I can’t wait to catch up on all of the beautifully written posts that I have been unable to read. I also have a few new followers that I want to happily welcome to Maysa Rose!
I am super happy to start actively posting again, and I hope that you all have a wonderful evening! 🙂
7-6-5-4-THREE DAYS until I leave for my summer intensive program away from home! I will be dancing with outstanding teachers, incredible dancers, and unbelievable choreographers while improving my skills. I am so blessed to have been given this opportunity, and I am really looking forward sharing my experiences with you! Get ready for some serious dancing, Maysa Rose!
“I am blessed and I thank God for every day for everything that happens for me…”
I thank God for the food on my table, the roof over my head this rainy day, the supportive followers on this blog, my health, the beautiful flowers blooming in the garden, my family and friends who continue to encourage me to achieve my dreams, the gift of faith, happiness, the men and women who give their lives for my freedom, and the ability to learn and receive an education.
I think that it is important to stop for a second to think about all of the blessings that the Lord has given you. If you are anything like me, your days always consist of tight schedules. As a result, you may find yourself going multiple days without praying or thinking about your faith at all! It is a very hard thing to confess, but I really wanted to bring this to your attention. No matter how busy you are and no matter how tight your schedule gets, never put your faith aside… God has blessed you with so much, so don’t ignore Him… He is always there waiting to hear from you…
This is just something to think about as we begin a new week…
I know that I haven’t posted in over a week, but I promise that I DID NOT FORGET ABOUT YOU GUYS! 🙂 Things have been kind of crazy lately, and I have been out of town. The last time I posted was on an airplane heading up to visit family. After the much-needed family time, I flew back home for a day to pack and get ready to join my dad on a business trip on Tuesday! I am so thankful to have been given this incredible opportunity to experience New York City, and I am so lucky to have been able to witness Misty Copeland IN PERSON… Last night, I watched the American Ballet Theatre perform Le Corsaire! It was a huge night for me, and I will remember it forever… I fly back home tomorrow, so I am going to enjoy as much of this city as I can before I leave. Wishing you all the best! Thanks for reading. 🙂
*In the picture above, you can see just how big the theater truly is… I am so insignificant, next to the building as high as the stars within it.
Cotton candy floats across the gentle blue sky
Showing me a breath of the heavens nearby.
I see in the distance a comforting light
That leaves me mesmerized at the breathtaking sight
-My random thoughts in air as I stare out of the plane window… I am traveling to visit family! Isn’t the sky so heavenly?
From The Christmas Carol, The Nutcracker, Coppelia, Night of Variations Showcase, an in-state dance festival/performance, Beauty and The Beast, to ‘The College Project’, it has been a very busy season!!! I am so thankful to have been blessed with this wonderful opportunity to dance with such amazing people, and I am so thankful for all of my wonderful followers who have supported me throughout this year. I also want to thank my mom and dad SO MUCH for making this possible for me.. I don’t know where I would be without them.💗
Thank you ALL! The season 2016-17 has officially closed, but the work of a dancer is never complete; summer intensives are right around the corner…
