It’s Thanksgiving, 2018!

I just want to take a second to acknowledge all of my dear readers and followers on this blog of mine. I am so thankful for all of your support, and it means so much to know that my words are being read and appreciated by so many people. Hopefully, you are all able to spend this afternoon celebrating with loved ones, filling your stomachs full of turkey and pie, as well as reflecting on all of your wonderful blessings.

For this post, I have decided to share 10 things that I am thankful for in no particular order:

  1. The food and clean drinking water on the table
  2. My faith
  3. Family and friends
  4. My heart to love
  5. Home
  6. Education
  7. Freedom
  8. My lungs that keep me breathing and alive
  9. My car
  10. My memory to remember those great moments in time

Feel free to share what you are thankful for in the comments below.

Happy Thanksgiving!

The “Simple” Things

fire2.jpg

Even when things aren’t going our way and it feels like nothing is working out, there is still so much to be thankful for. Last week, I was reading the blog of a mother who’s son lost his leg in the battle against cancer. It broke my heart to read their story, but it made me remember how incredibly lucky I am to just stand here and breathe another day. I also read the post of another blogger who recently got hearing aides and is finally discovering this sound-filled world for the first time. The fact is, we take so many things for granted every single day, and many blessings (like the ability to walk and hear) are frequently overlooked.

Never forget the “simple” things, and always remember that our problems are very minimal in someone else’s eyes. Stop spending so much time complaining about life, and begin to see how beautiful it truly is… especially this week of Thanksgiving.

Trip of a Lifetime

sunsetmountains

This big summer trip has officially ended, and it is very bittersweet to be back home. I missed my room. I missed my bed. I missed my birds. I missed dance! However, my family and I have made so many great memories together for the past month. We saw parts of the country that we may never get to see again. I saw landmarks that I never imagined I would ever see. This was a trip of a lifetime, and I am so blessed to have experienced such beautiful places. I recall:

being on the edge of my seat at that rodeo in Cody

taking a ride through Bear Country and seeing those wild animals stand inches away from our car in Rapid City

eating the best steak I have ever had at the Big Texan in Amarillo

a giant crow smacking into our car on the interstate in New Mexico

traveling through all of the Fly Over States (love this song!)

almost getting lost as we tried to find our way to Devils Kitchen in Wyoming

driving through Pikes Peak in Colorado Springs as pea sized snow hits our car in June

We are now back to reality. We are home! Thank you all for joining me on this fun adventure, and I really hope you enjoyed this series of posts. Which place are YOU most interested in traveling to after reading?

Forever honor those brave men & women who gave up everything so this country can be free

Always remember,

and may GOD bless them forever…

13 States/20 Days

fun summer photo

In exactly one week, my family will begin the journey through 13 states in 20 days. We are going to explore some of the major national parks and landmarks across the USA including: Mount Rushmore, Cadillac Ranch, Garden of the Gods, Yellowstone, Royal Gorge, and the Badlands. It is going to be such an incredible experience that I am so thankful to have… I am so blessed to be able to spend this summer with my family and make memories that will last a lifetime. I will be sure to keep you all “posted” while I am on this adventure, and I will take lots of photos to share. I hope that you join me!

Grande Finale

This weekend, we took our final bow for the 2017-18 season, and it was a very bittersweet moment… This season was filled with so many incredible opportunities that I never imagined I would ever receive, and it is crazy to think that it is already over.

Heartwarming memories from my very first principal role from Snow Queen overwhelmed me…

The 4 Little Swan choreography from Swan Lake washed over me…

Flashbacks from Canary Fairy in Sleeping Beauty made my feet start fluttering…

I remembered how proud I was to see my very own choreography about HOUR LIVES take that stage…

I recalled wearing the bubbly head pieces from a mixed rep show…

Dancing as a poppy in the Wizard of Oz was an experience that I will never forget…

Thank you to all of my followers and supporters who have been there for me through it all! It was a great year. 🙂

International Dance Day!

Snow Queen

Happy International Dance Day!!!

I am so fortunate, blessed, and incredibly honored to be able to say that I am a dancer. This art form has changed my life, and the experiences that I have had will be treasured in my heart forever. Although it can be very harsh at times, there is nothing that I love doing more than dancing. It is my passion. It is my dream. To be honest, I am not sure how far it will take me, but I know that God has a reason for leading me where I am today. I couldn’t be more thankful, and I am excited to continue my journey through the world of dance!

*I recently discovered this group contemporary piece online, and I have been looking forward to sharing it with all of you. I really enjoyed watching this, and I hope that you all do as well! HAPPY INTERNATIONAL DANCE DAY (once again)!
