Weekend in Wonderland

I had such a fun weekend performing in Alice in Wonderland, and I am already missing the sound of laughter that erupted from the audience. Acting was a major part of this comical ballet, and I really got to enjoy myself in each of my roles. I have to admit, it was quite difficult to not laugh at myself when I portrayed a crazy maid with an extremely defiant attitude. From pouring salt in my mouth and choking on chili to stomping across the stage with my tongue out at the dutchess, it was hard to keep a straight face with such an amusing role. I honestly don’t know how I did it! It was a great show, but it was also very stressful as we had constant quick changes and responsibilities backstage. Overall, everyone performed beautifully, and I am so proud of the entire cast. I managed to snag a quick photo with these lovely ladies in my deck of cards costume, and I was so happy to meet my friend after the show! I hope the audience enjoyed their experience in wonderland as much as I did.

Grande Finale

This weekend, we took our final bow for the 2017-18 season, and it was a very bittersweet moment… This season was filled with so many incredible opportunities that I never imagined I would ever receive, and it is crazy to think that it is already over.

Heartwarming memories from my very first principal role from Snow Queen overwhelmed me…

The 4 Little Swan choreography from Swan Lake washed over me…

Flashbacks from Canary Fairy in Sleeping Beauty made my feet start fluttering…

I remembered how proud I was to see my very own choreography about HOUR LIVES take that stage…

I recalled wearing the bubbly head pieces from a mixed rep show…

Dancing as a poppy in the Wizard of Oz was an experience that I will never forget…

Thank you to all of my followers and supporters who have been there for me through it all! It was a great year. ๐Ÿ™‚

Tribute to Daisy

I never thought that I would enjoy performing this variation. Canary Fairy had always been one of least favorite classical ballet variations, and I never imagined myself performing it in front of hundreds of people. Surprisingly, I adored portraying this vibrant character, and I was upset when I took the final bow. My costume was glowing… My gold crown was shining…

This was such a wonderful Tribute to my yellow Daisy Bird, and I had a lovely time as the Canary Fairy in this weekend’s production of The Sleeping Beauty.

I am shocked to announce that all of the performances have finally come to a close. After spending over 12 hours in the theater yesterday, we were able to whirl through two separate ballets in one weekend. Each show definitely had its own challenges, but I think that is one of the most exciting things about performing live (you never know what you are going to get!) I am so proud of ALL of the casts, because they were all absolutely stunning. This was a fantastic weekend, and I am so fortunate to have been blessed with the opportunities that I had been given. Have a great week! ๐Ÿ™‚

Happy Halloween!

I really enjoyed dressing up as my favorite Disney princess today… Can you guess who??

I can’t believe that it is already this time of year again! Have a safe and HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Coppelia Day 1!

We have finally reached performance weekend!!!! Today is going to be Day 1 of Copellia, and we are all looking forward to it! The acting in this ballet is so fun, and I feel like I am really able to connect with the characters that I am portraying. Nonetheless, this is going to be the very first production that I have ever been casted as a soloist, so I am thrilled to be given the chance to step a little further than ‘my usual’ and show the audience who I really am as an artist. I wish every dancer good luck this show and I cannot wait to watch all of our hard work come together. Enjoy this weekend everybody!!!!!!

*Also, for those of you interested… MY RESULTS CAME IN FOR BOSTON BALLET YESTERDAY, AND I HAVE MADE THE WAITING LIST!!! This intensive is incredibly difficult to get into, so I was shocked to know that I am being ‘considered’! I should find out my final results March 17th… I will update you all when I get the final response. ๐Ÿ˜‰ I also auditioned for the Sarasota Ballet last week, so I should receive those results shortly as well.
