Last few hours

prayers

As I savor these last few hours left of Spring Break, I recall:

how much chocolate that I have consumed in such a small time frame…

the 30 hours I spent in a Drivers Education classroom…

camping with my family over the weekend on the waterside…

and remembering how fast it has gone…

What a week!

3 interesting things about me:

1) I love to travel, and by the end of summer I will have been to 20 states.

2) I have been deep sea fishing, but I quickly learned that I get very sea sick.

3) I have been stung by a jellyfish when we were visiting Key West one summer… I was pretty young, so I remember screaming to my mother and telling her “a puffer fish got me”.

I frequently find that many of my followers do not like to be nominated for awards/tags. Therefore, I nominate any of my readers who would like to participate! πŸ™‚ Please feel completely free to attach your post in the comments section so that others can read your post.

5 Questions for me:

  • Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?

In 5 years, I hope to be in a professional ballet company. I hope that all of my intense training in this professional trainee program will get me where I really want to be… Dancing full time as a company member.

  • What is your favourite place on earth?

I absolutely LOVE the beach. I visit the beach as often as my schedule will allow, and I enjoy every second of the salty midst, the sand between my toes, and the fresh ocean breeze…

  • Why is your passion your passion?

I have a special connection with ballet… I am not even sure how to describe why it is myΒ  passion, but I just feel like it is what I am meant to do. I feel like it is a part of me, and I couldn’t see myself ever being the same without it.

  • Where (a place) does your heart draw you to?

THE THEATER!! I absolutely love dancing on that stage, and my heart leaps whenever I hear the audience roar. As much as I perform, it never gets old. Every performance brings something new, and I don’t think that I will ever get tired of it.

  • What is the wildest dream you ever dreamed?

Quite honestly, I am not sure!

5 Questions for my participants:

  1. What is the story behind your blog name?
  2. Where is your dream travel destination?
  3. Do you prefer the mountains or the ocean? Why?
  4. Would you rather live in the city with skyscrapers and busy streets or the country-side with corn fields and cattle?
  5. Food choices: Sweet VS. Sour. What would you choose?

Escape

Mountains. Scenery. Freedom. Horses. Open land. Country roads. Calm mind.

This was my labor day weekend… I escaped the chaotic city for a few days and entered a free space where I could just enjoy life. I forgot all about the stress that typically engulfs my mind and spent some much-needed family time with the ones I love.

Thanks mom and dad for such a great trip!

*All photos were taken by me, except for the first picture of Tank licking ice cream off of the spoon. πŸ˜‰

It’s Coming…

The TOTAL solar eclipse 2017 is coming… Many people are unaware of how damaging this phenomenon can be if you do not take the proper precautions. In reality, this is a very big deal. I am going to stay indoors to protect myself and my family from this event. We may be crowded around the television to watch it, but I personally don’t want to loose my vision forever by being physically exposed to the eclipse. Please note that many people have bought the ‘special glasses’ that are suppose to completely protect your eyes, but MANY of these glasses have been recalled from the market because they had proven to be ineffective.

The decision is yours… Will you take the risk?

My Happy Place

swing

I need to find my happy place,

where horses run and dolphins race.

Far away, through the sparkling rainbow beam,

external ideas are no longer what they seem.

I need to find my happy place,

where horses run and dolphins race.

Blocking out all realistic things,

and all that surrounds me are cotton candy filled dreams.

Unfortunately, I am headed to the dentist this morning to get FOUR teeth extracted so that I can receive braces in a week… It is never fun to get a tooth extracted, but it’s worse if you are getting four pulled in one day! I just have to keep my eye on the prize and think about how much better my teeth are going to look once this whole process is over.

Wish me luck today everyone!

My Past

lakeside

I have changed over these past 4 years… In fact, I have changed so much that I am not even CLOSE the same person that I use to be. When I was in elementary school, I was so concerned about being like everyone else. I was trying to fit in any way that I could to make up for the fact that I was so different. I felt like people didn’t really understand how important dance was to me, and they didn’t truly understand what I was working so hard to do. The truth is that I wanted people at school to like me and support me and my goals. I thought that being popular might help me fit in…

Once I had become “popular”, I unintentionally started changing the way that I was acting, and I began to loose sight of the real me. To be honest, I felt like I was under high expectations to maintain my reputation, so I started to treat people badly for a sense of power. I felt trapped, and I wasn’t sure how to escape the mess that I had created.

Shortly after that school year ended, I found out that I was accepted as a pre- professional in the daytime ballet academy at my studio. I started homeschooling to attend, but homeschooling has helped me MUCH more than just in dance. I have found my TRUE SELF again. From that experience, I have learned to never allow other people to change who I am.

I am stubborn, always laughing, creative, messy, smart, crazy, determined, artistic, kind, and unique. I am proud of who I am, and I will always be ME.
