It has been two full months since I released a playlist, so I thought it was time to share again. Actually, several of you have told me that you really enjoy these types of posts, so I am wondering if I should do this more often… Talk to me, and tell me your thoughts!

These will be up very shortly, so don’t go anywhere. 🙂 Thanks for reading, and I hope that you are having an awesome summer!
Today, I watched these two young gentleman accept their hard-earned diplomas and graduate high school with honors…
The three of us go way back to kindergarten at the bus stop where we poked at rollie pollies, chased caterpillars, climbed trees, and allowed our imaginations to run wild every single day. We spent countless afternoons circling around our neighborhood on bikes and scooters, eating popsicles, and drawing with the sidewalk chalk. We use to play lots of games after school, but I will never forget our ultimate favorite, hide-and-go-seek, even though we would always get too crazy. We spent every holiday, birthday, and special occasion together and supported each other through orchestra concerts, dance recitals, band events, and other hobbies… always together.
They are like brothers, and they mean more to me than I could ever express. At times, I know that I can be like an annoying little sister who never lets them forget it, but I honestly don’t know what I would do without them. They made my childhood so memorable, and they will always have a very special place in my heart. I know that they will achieve wonderful things, and I am excited to see what the future holds for them. It has truly been a blessing to watch them grow into the amazing people that they are today, and I am so thankful to have them in my life. I want to wish them both good luck in college, and I have no doubt that they will be very successful no matter what.
Congratulations, and I love you both so much!
It is so bittersweet to say goodbye to people after graduation and watch as they begin a new chapter in life… My friends have proven to me, time and time again, the true outcome of hard work as they receive job offers, college letters, and other opportunities that lead them to their dreams. I want to congratulate everyone in Class 2019 who has reached this milestone, and I wish you the best of luck as you go off to make a future for yourself.
~Thanks, Tiff, for inviting me to your graduation party last night. It has been so neat to watch you grow throughout the years, and I wont forget all of the memories that we made. I cannot wait to see what your future holds, and I hope that you have an awesome experience next year. Congrats, and good luck with everything!
After two years, my treatment is finally complete, and I got a brand new smile that is even bigger than the last. As annoying as braces were, the process actually went much faster than I expected, and I cannot believe that it is finally over. I clearly remember the day that I walked into the orthodontist’s office for the very first time and learned that I had to get multiple teeth extracted before I could even begin my treatment. I remember the fear that overwhelmed me as I sat in the dentist’s office as I mentally prepared myself to get all four teeth pulled on the same day. I also remember awkwardly glancing at my new silver brackets knowing that I had twenty-two months before I saw my teeth again. Looking back, it was quite an adventure to get where I am now, but I am so thankful for every step because the result is drastic. I am so happy with this brand new smile, and I cannot thank my parents enough for all that they have done for me throughout this entire experience. Now, I just have to keep up with my retainer and wear it (I WILL!)
I just thought I would share this exciting news, and I hope that you are all having a great weekend! 🙂
Have you wondered how Alice in Wonderland is coming together? Did you stop by to see which blog post won the most votes? Why is there a tutu in my title? I have lots of updates…
Alice in Wonderland is less than a week away, and these past two weeks have been so stressful (mentally and physically) as we put this entire ballet together. The cast list has been slightly adjusted, so I will now be dancing as Alice’s sister, garden flower, lead deck of cards, maid, and white queen corps de ballet. Yesterday, I was also given the responsibility to understudy the Mad Hatter due to a foot injury. I am praying that my friend gets better, but I will be sure to learn all of the choreography so that I can step in if she needs me during the long show weekend. I am excited to dance in this fun ballet, but I also am getting very nervous as all of these dancers whirl my brain in circles.
The blog post poll officially closed yesterday, and I am so excited to announce that Backstage Secrets won the most votes! I am so thankful for everyone who participated, and I will be sure to post all of these ideas at some point in the future. Right now, I am looking forward to sharing all of the weird things that dancers do before/during a show that the public doesn’t know. This will be very amusing and probably shocking to most of you. This post should be up on Tuesday, but please be patient if it gets delayed for some reason.
HAPPY TUTU DAY! (2/2/19) I know it isn’t on a Tuesday this year, but it is still a dance day worth celebrating.
Thank you for reading, and have a fantastic Superbowl Sunday! 🙂
“Tomorrow is the first blank page of a 365 page book. Write a good one.”
2018 is packed with so many great memories that I will never forget, and I feel like the experiences have really helped me grow as an individual. I am so grateful for all of the people who impacted me, both negatively and positively, throughout this past year because I learned a lot from each of them. Aside from personal life, this blog of mine has grown so much, and views have topped 6,000 for the year! I am so incredibly thankful for each and every one of you readers. Your comments/likes mean so much to me, and I greatly appreciate the tremendous amount of support and inspiration that you have continuously given me. I also really enjoyed discovering new blogs and meeting so many talented writers in the past year. I truly cannot thank everyone enough! I hope 2019 brings even more wonderful memories.
Happy New Year to you all!
“A snowflake is one of God’s most fragile creations, but look what they can do when they stick together!”
I have a love/hate relationship with the winter season, but I always end up looking forward to it every year… The snow transforms our ordinary town into an enchanted world where young eyes sparkle with excitement. It brings families together for an adventurous day of snowman building and hot coco drinking by the fireplace. This season is so memorable and amazing. Wishing you all a beautiful first day of winter 2018-19!

A few days ago, the casting for this year’s production of The Nutcracker was released. My friends and I had been discussing the possibilities for weeks now, and we had all been anxiously waiting to find out if our predictions were accurate.. I have been cast as a maid, the snow queen, and marzipan. I had never imagined that I would have been selected for these roles, and I am incredibly thankful.
The enchanted forest of snow has always been one of my favorite scenes out of the entire ballet, and I am absolutely honored to have been cast as the queen. I had always hoped that I would perform marzipan someday, but I never expected it to be so soon…
My very first rehearsal is Tuesday. Wish me luck! 🙂
A HUGE congrats to Sarah, Rose, Mandy, Christine, Grace, Sophia, Anna Jean, and Gwendolyn on graduation! Wishing you all the best as you begin this new, exciting chapter of your lives. I know that you will all accomplish great things, and I am thrilled for each of you… Congratulations! 🙂
Sweet 16 celebration. ‘End of the Year’ party. Graduation parties.
It was a great week, and I am so glad to have spent it with such an awesome group of people. I am so thankful for everyone who invited me to celebrate with them, because I had an absolute blast (and I even got to reunite with a really close friend!)
Thank you for all of the memories… Thank you for all of the smiles… Thank you for always being there for me… I love you all!
Happy International Dance Day!!!
I am so fortunate, blessed, and incredibly honored to be able to say that I am a dancer. This art form has changed my life, and the experiences that I have had will be treasured in my heart forever. Although it can be very harsh at times, there is nothing that I love doing more than dancing. It is my passion. It is my dream. To be honest, I am not sure how far it will take me, but I know that God has a reason for leading me where I am today. I couldn’t be more thankful, and I am excited to continue my journey through the world of dance!
*I recently discovered this group contemporary piece online, and I have been looking forward to sharing it with all of you. I really enjoyed watching this, and I hope that you all do as well! HAPPY INTERNATIONAL DANCE DAY (once again)!
