Believe it or not, someone had something positive to say to me every day this week. From Monday afternoon straight through Friday, my entire week was lit up with positivity. I could not be more thankful for the supportive environment that surrounds me each and everyday, and I am so blessed to have the ability to dance with such a beautiful community of dancers; I can’t wait to see how far they will go.
You all are amazing. Thank you for giving me such an great week! 🙂

It has been awhile since our last parakeet post!! I hope this is a sweet return to the blog. Kiwi and Olive have missed you all, and they are so glad to be posting again. We have a lot of funny photos that will be up very soon! We cannot wait to share them with all of you. 🙂 Have a fantastic friday!
It has been a very busy first week back, and I am quite relieved that the weekend has finally arrived… Let’s just say that it is going to feel great to sleep in tomorrow morning! Wishing you all an awesome weekend!!
*Introducing The Parakeet Post that will be featured 1-3 times a month to bring some joy and silliness to the blog. Olive and Kiwi are little balls of energy and are constantly making me laugh, so I wanted to share some of my smiles with my blogging community. I think that this will be a great addition to Maysa Rose. Do you agree? 🙂
“Life is not a dress rehearsal. The curtain is up and your on, so get out there & give it your best shot.”
We are in the theater late tonight rehearsing for our two performances on Friday.
I have worked extremely hard throughout these past four weeks, so I hope that I am truly able to show my parents how much I have learned and grown. I am hoping that they will see a new and improved dancer, who has transformed into something better than before…
I am going to get out there on that stage and do my absolute best for my family, for my director back home, the director of this intensive, and most of all… for myself. 🙂 Goodnight everyone.
The applause rained halfway through my variation on Friday night… By the time I finished, I had the biggest smile plastered on my face; I significantly surprised myself. The variation that I chose was a huge challenge, and it was a great accomplishment to prove to myself that I CAN DO IT! People who have seen me dance know that I am not known for my flexibility (one of my biggest challenges), I am known for my fast footwork, cleanliness, and technique. It was definitely one of the fastest variations that I have ever attempted, but I am so proud to have done it! In the end, it was so encouraging to have been told that I was a “fireball” and “firecracker” by multiple peers. All in all, it was an beautiful performance, and I really enjoyed watching my friends dance so gracefully.
The Beauty and the Beast performances also went well! All of us felt very proud, and it was so rewarding to have performed dances that we finished only two days before the show! This weekend truly proved to us ALL that we are capable of so much more than we think! Thank you all so much for all of the support and encouragement. You are the best! 🙂
When something is important enough, you do it even if the odds are not in your favor.
Do whatever it takes… It doesn’t matter who you are or what your dream is. If it is important enough to you, you will find a way to make it happen (despite ANY obstacles that may stand in your way). Make the most of every opportunity that you have to get closer to your goal. That clock is advancing… Are you?
