Memories flood back from Homecoming 2017 when the five of us made our grand entrance to the school in a minivan with string lights and loud music. We danced until we lost our shoes, laughed until our stomachs hurt, consumed more sweets than we should have, and fell in love with the NYC themed courtyard…
After the dance ended, we were escorted back to my friend’s house where we all enjoyed a bonfire and stayed up until 5:00 AM. That night was definitely one to remember, and memories continue to race through my mind as this year’s annual event comes to an official close. I watch as decorations are taken down from the high school, and I flashback to last year… Homecoming 2017
This past year of my life was filled with so many great memories, and I had experiences of a lifetime… From holding my new baby sister for the very first time to watching ABT perform Le Corsaire in New York City, I had a great 15th year. Today, however, I get a new number that will fill my life with its own new adventures.
I have to say that it is pretty cool to be able to share it with this little munchkin. I still cannot believe that our birthdays are only one day apart… Here is to her first!
& here is to Sweet Sixteen!
I know that this post is a little late, but…
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!
I am beyond thankful for all of my followers and viewers who supported me throughout this past year! You have no idea how much it means to me to have so many people constantly supporting and encouraging me to reach my goals. I especially want to thank Maggie, Purple Rays, hell0chloe, Paul Militaru, and the lovely Natalie Scarberry for the numerous likes and comments during 2017.
I hope that you all have an outstanding new year!

I can’t even begin to tell you how incredibly fortunate I am to have these amazing people in my life. I had an outstanding time last night, and I am sitting here wishing that I could go back and do it all over again… I cannot thank my friend enough for inviting me to go with her, and it was nice to dance the night away with my wonderful group of friends… If it wasn’t for her, lil’ homeschool me would have been sitting at home with nothing to do but schoolwork. Thank you SO MUCH for making me apart of your night! It means the world to me. 🙂
I was literally “on my toes” this past week, as rehearsals and school crammed my schedule FULL. From a NYC Ballet choreographer setting a piece, 8 hours of rehearsals today, and doubled up schoolwork resulting from Hurricane Irma, this week was pure madness. Even now, I am staring at my half-sewn pair of pointe shoes that have been sitting on my dresser for two weeks now… Please forgive my frequent inactivity on Maysa Rose! It gets hard when I don’t have much time during the day, because it comes down to order-of-importance. As much as I love my blog, it isn’t on my MUST list. I hope that you all are doing amazing, and I am looking forward to reading your posts. I appreciate that you all have stuck with me through all of these times of silence, and it means so much that you all are continuously supportive and understanding through it all.
*High School Homecoming is getting close!! (October 7th). I am going dress shopping tomorrow, so I will post my dress if I find a good one. It may be a process…. 🙂 Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!!!
I know that I haven’t posted in over a week, but I promise that I DID NOT FORGET ABOUT YOU GUYS! 🙂 Things have been kind of crazy lately, and I have been out of town. The last time I posted was on an airplane heading up to visit family. After the much-needed family time, I flew back home for a day to pack and get ready to join my dad on a business trip on Tuesday! I am so thankful to have been given this incredible opportunity to experience New York City, and I am so lucky to have been able to witness Misty Copeland IN PERSON… Last night, I watched the American Ballet Theatre perform Le Corsaire! It was a huge night for me, and I will remember it forever… I fly back home tomorrow, so I am going to enjoy as much of this city as I can before I leave. Wishing you all the best! Thanks for reading. 🙂
*In the picture above, you can see just how big the theater truly is… I am so insignificant, next to the building as high as the stars within it.
