Kiwi and Skye have reunited after being apart for an entire year!
I am watching my friend’s birds while she is out of town this summer, and it makes my heart so happy to see this flock of four together again. Last year, it was no secret that Kiwi had a crush on this handsome blue budgie, so she is absolutely elated to see him again. These lovebirds are too sweet! I will be sure to feature Olive and Calypso in the next Parakeet Post, so get ready for some more cuteness.
Do you have birds? Did you enjoy this post? Any big plans for the 4th of July?
“God gives every bird its food, but He does not throw it into its nest.”
~Josiah Gilbert Holland
The Lord provides the tools that are necessary to achieve something great, but He does not just hand you success in a gift box. You must do your part by opening your heart to Him and putting in the effort to discover His chosen path for your life. In other words, he gives you seeds, but it is up to you to plant them. Once you take that step, He will nurture you and help you grow, but you must be willing to put the work in.
Keep this in mind as you pray for your dreams and goals to become a reality…

Also, you may have noticed that there have been several changes to the blog over the past few days. I decided to mix things up a bit, and this led to the addition of a header image, sidebar text updates, revised pages (available on the Menu), and the creation of a new tagline! Maysa Rose is now “the random musings of me.” Let me know what you think in the comments below, and I hope that you have a great weekend!
“A friend is someone who knows the song in your heart and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words.”
Kiwi is wishing all of her readers a fantastic rest of the week!
It has been way too long since the last Parakeet Post, so Kiwi & Olive are demanding their monthly highlights on the blog again… I know a few of you were quite concerned by their absence, but they are okay! It is no secret that they had been getting significantly less attention throughout these past few months as my schedule became tighter, and they no longer had the luxury of constant interaction when I stopped my homeschooling program. This year has definitely been a challenge to balance everything and keep up with posting in general, but I am starting to get used to the new norm. However, I have a special announcement…
The Parakeet Post has returned! Kiwi & Olive are welcoming all of their fans back because they missed everyone so much. 🙂 For those of you who have recently joined Maysa Rose, the Parakeet Post is an amusing collection of posts that are featured monthly to share the sweet moments of these two birds. I hope that you enjoy their upcoming posts!
I think Kiwi found herself a boyfriend… These two have been attracted like magnets for the past few weeks, and I was able to catch these sweethearts on camera during this precious moment.
However, Olive is getting pretty jealous,
and Calypso is just pouting…
*I was glad to host these two beautiful guests on this month’s parakeet post! I hope that you enjoyed this as much as I did. 🙂

Vibrant feathers gracefully float to the bottom of the cage as Kiwi undergoes her springtime molt. She poses for a photo, and I quickly capture the moment for this Parakeet Post. I love this beautiful budgie. 🙂
Reggae… Kiwi and Olive were absolutely thrilled when I turned on my Reggae playlist this morning, and they chirped along in complete delight. This has always been their favorite music genre, and they never seem to get tired of summertime vibes.
Before I started to play the songs out loud, I was quite interested to see how they would react to my earbuds…. Unfortunately, Kiwi didn’t want to have anything to do with this little adventure, but Olive thoroughly enjoyed herself! I decided to snap a picture of this brave little bird to share with you all this morning. Happy Saturday!

Do you like Reggae? What are your favorite summer songs?
HAPPY SAINT PATRICK’S DAY! The parrots are sending you two shades of green, and they are wearing the feathers proudly. 🙂 Did you remember to wear green today?
I never thought that I would enjoy performing this variation. Canary Fairy had always been one of least favorite classical ballet variations, and I never imagined myself performing it in front of hundreds of people. Surprisingly, I adored portraying this vibrant character, and I was upset when I took the final bow. My costume was glowing… My gold crown was shining…
This was such a wonderful Tribute to my yellow Daisy Bird, and I had a lovely time as the Canary Fairy in this weekend’s production of The Sleeping Beauty.
I am shocked to announce that all of the performances have finally come to a close. After spending over 12 hours in the theater yesterday, we were able to whirl through two separate ballets in one weekend. Each show definitely had its own challenges, but I think that is one of the most exciting things about performing live (you never know what you are going to get!) I am so proud of ALL of the casts, because they were all absolutely stunning. This was a fantastic weekend, and I am so fortunate to have been blessed with the opportunities that I had been given. Have a great week! 🙂
