Share Your Talent

20181021_214123[1]

“You guys were beautiful. This made me feel young again. Thank you!”

I had the most amazing time performing for the residents at the assisted living facility this morning. It warmed my heart to bring the arts back into the lives of these seniors, and I can’t tell you how rewarding it was to see the smiles on their faces. I will absolutely do this again, and I highly encourage YOU to share your talent, hobby, or joy with your local community. No matter how small and simple it may seem, people will appreciate it more than you will ever know…

International Dance Day!

Snow Queen

Happy International Dance Day!!!

I am so fortunate, blessed, and incredibly honored to be able to say that I am a dancer. This art form has changed my life, and the experiences that I have had will be treasured in my heart forever. Although it can be very harsh at times, there is nothing that I love doing more than dancing. It is my passion. It is my dream. To be honest, I am not sure how far it will take me, but I know that God has a reason for leading me where I am today. I couldn’t be more thankful, and I am excited to continue my journey through the world of dance!

*I recently discovered this group contemporary piece online, and I have been looking forward to sharing it with all of you. I really enjoyed watching this, and I hope that you all do as well! HAPPY INTERNATIONAL DANCE DAY (once again)!

3 interesting things about me:

1) I love to travel, and by the end of summer I will have been to 20 states.

2) I have been deep sea fishing, but I quickly learned that I get very sea sick.

3) I have been stung by a jellyfish when we were visiting Key West one summer… I was pretty young, so I remember screaming to my mother and telling her “a puffer fish got me”.

I frequently find that many of my followers do not like to be nominated for awards/tags. Therefore, I nominate any of my readers who would like to participate! ๐Ÿ™‚ Please feel completely free to attach your post in the comments section so that others can read your post.

5 Questions for me:

  • Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?

In 5 years, I hope to be in a professional ballet company. I hope that all of my intense training in this professional trainee program will get me where I really want to be… Dancing full time as a company member.

  • What is your favourite place on earth?

I absolutely LOVE the beach. I visit the beach as often as my schedule will allow, and I enjoy every second of the salty midst, the sand between my toes, and the fresh ocean breeze…

  • Why is your passion your passion?

I have a special connection with ballet… I am not even sure how to describe why it is myย  passion, but I just feel like it is what I am meant to do. I feel like it is a part of me, and I couldn’t see myself ever being the same without it.

  • Where (a place) does your heart draw you to?

THE THEATER!! I absolutely love dancing on that stage, and my heart leaps whenever I hear the audience roar. As much as I perform, it never gets old. Every performance brings something new, and I don’t think that I will ever get tired of it.

  • What is the wildest dream you ever dreamed?

Quite honestly, I am not sure!

5 Questions for my participants:

  1. What is the story behind your blog name?
  2. Where is your dream travel destination?
  3. Do you prefer the mountains or the ocean? Why?
  4. Would you rather live in the city with skyscrapers and busy streets or the country-side with corn fields and cattle?
  5. Food choices: Sweet VS. Sour. What would you choose?

Let the dancing begin!

Eight days… I haven’t posted in EIGHT DAYS. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ I am so sorry that I have neglected this little blog of mine for over a week. You were all probably thinking that something was wrong, because I am rarely ever silent!

Since my last post, the 2017-18 dance season has begun!!!!!!!! It has been a great first two days back to the normal routine, and it felt so good to dance a full days again. Aside from dance, school has been going great so far, and I really like my teachers this year. For the newbies here on Maysa Rose, it may be helpful to know that I am a professional trainee ballerina in a daytime academy at my studio. To allow my schedule to be more flexible, I am home schooled at an online public cyber academy. In a very short amount of time, you will soon see how insane my schedule will get, but I will keep you POSTED. I am so excited for the performances/events, and I can’t wait for the action and excitement to start!

I am ready to put in some serious work this year, and I hope to see lots of improvement by the end of this season. Let the dancing begin!! ๐Ÿ™‚

New Week

When you start to do the things that you truly love, it wouldn’t matter whether it is Monday or Friday; you would be so excited to wake up each morning to work on your passions.”

INCOMING! It is Monday morning again, and we have another full week ahead of us… No matter what this week brings, be sure to make the most of every moment and never stop smiling. ๐Ÿ™‚

Have a great week!

Season 2016-17 Ends!

photoshoot2

From The Christmas Carol, The Nutcracker, Coppelia, Night of Variations Showcase, an in-state dance festival/performance, Beauty and The Beast, to ‘The College Project’, it has been a very busy season!!! I am so thankful to have been blessed with this wonderful opportunity to dance with such amazing people, and I am so thankful for all of my wonderful followers who have supported me throughout this year. I also want to thank my mom and dad SO MUCH for making this possible for me.. I don’t know where I would be without them.๐Ÿ’—

Thank you ALL! The season 2016-17 has officially closed, but the work of a dancer is never complete; summer intensives are right around the corner…

Once More…

dream

Recently, I have submitted a poem to the National Student Poetry Contest.ย  The chances of me winning are extremely low, but I decided to participate for my joy of writing. I will be sharing my poem with everyone soon, along with a post about my past that I finally have the strength to tell. This will all be up shortly after this weekend…

This Friday, I will be performing the Night of Variations Showcase. Then, I will be dancing in the Beauty and the Beast production this weekend. We are returning to the theater, once more. ๐Ÿ™‚

When something is important enough… ~Elon Musk

When something is important enough, you do it even if the odds are not in your favor.

~Elon Musk

Do whatever it takes… It doesn’t matter who you are or what your dream is. If it is important enough to you, you will find a way to make it happen (despite ANY obstacles that may stand in your way). Make the most of every opportunity that you have to get closer to your goal. That clock is advancing… Are you?

Determination. Hard work. Strength. Passion.

Happy Friday! ๐Ÿ™‚
