It is so easy to look around at all of the things that we wish we had and all of the things that we wish we could do… Honestly, we spend so much time focusing on what we want that we often loose sight of everything we have. This is the time of year to be grateful for the little things in life, pray for those who are struggling, and give thanks for all of our blessings. I hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving 2019!
“God gives every bird its food, but He does not throw it into its nest.”
~Josiah Gilbert Holland
The Lord provides the tools that are necessary to achieve something great, but He does not just hand you success in a gift box. You must do your part by opening your heart to Him and putting in the effort to discover His chosen path for your life. In other words, he gives you seeds, but it is up to you to plant them. Once you take that step, He will nurture you and help you grow, but you must be willing to put the work in.
Keep this in mind as you pray for your dreams and goals to become a reality…
Did you enjoy this Parakeet Post? What does this quote mean to you?
Also, you may have noticed that there have been several changes to the blog over the past few days. I decided to mix things up a bit, and this led to the addition of a header image, sidebar text updates, revised pages (available on the Menu), and the creation of a new tagline! Maysa Rose is now “the random musings of me.” Let me know what you think in the comments below, and I hope that you have a great weekend!
Never forget all of those brave men & women who died for you and me
Forever honor those brave men & women who gave up everything so this country can be free
and may GOD bless them forever…
I am indebted to these heroic people, and I am thinking about them this Memorial Day.
I never knew that last hug would really be the last. I never knew that goodbye truly meant goodbye… I thought I would see him again very soon.
“But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.”
I am so lucky to have known my great grandfather, and I know that he is smiling down from heaven right now as the entire family recalls all of the great memories he gave us. Huntin’… Fishin’… Talkin’… Laughin’… He is definitely someone worth rememberin’.
We love you grandpa!
“But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.”
“For this is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.”
Don’t ever forget what Jesus did for you this very day…
Be sure to pray this Good Friday.
Still praying for all of the witnesses and victims of the high school shooting one week ago in Parkland, Florida. I send my deepest condolence to the families who lost loved ones in this tragic event.
“GOD is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.”
May the Lord bless you and comfort to you during this difficult time…
Wow, I apologize for my lack of activity on WordPress this past week! Unfortunately, I haven’t had the opportunity to read your posts or write my own lately. Not only that, I had to read and write so much for school that I temporarily lost all
motivation inspiration to blog; however, I am back now! I should be able to “balance” my schedule a little better after working a full weekend, and I hope to be super active next week to keep you all updated on the pre – performance posts (as usual). I have no doubt that I will have a lot to say and rant about as the weekend looms closer. I hope that you all are doing well. Happy Saturday! 🙂
*Also, good luck to all of my friends competing this weekend! After all of the hard work, I have no doubt that you are going to shine under those lights. I am super excited to hear the results, and I will keep you in my prayers.
