“And I’m fallin’… fallin’ for you hard. Let’s slow down; this is just the start. When you hold me, I can’t sing the blues. Like velvet on my fingertips, you sure are smooth”
Lyrics: Velvet by Sofia Caterina
Hey everyone! My friend just released her very own song a few months ago. Believe it or not, Velvet has already received over 30k streams on Spotify and topped 17k views on her YouTube audio track. It would be great if you guys could help promote this rising star by re-blogging this post, sharing it with your friends, and posting it on your personal sites. It would be very appreciated if the WordPress community could help get her more publicity… Be sure to give this song a listen!
A few days have passed since my pumpkin contest post, so I decided to reveal my pumpkin’s true identity… Unfortunately, there is not a winner because no one participated. Believe it or not, my previous post is the first “no comment” post that I have received in four entire months, so it was actually kind of amusing that it generated so many blank stares.
My pumpkin is supposed to be an artistic witch’s hat… Can you see it now? 🙂
Hey everyone! Today, I thought it would be fun to share “A Day In My Life” and allow you to have a small peak into my routine throughout the week. I wanted to try something new and a little different on Maysa Rose, so I hope that you like this post!
7:00 AM: I finally decide to roll out of bed after pressing the SNOOZE button on my alarm at least twice.
8:00 AM: I load my backpack, lunch, dance bag, and purse into the trunk of my car and head to school.
8:40 AM- 1:15 PM: I arrive at school and bounce from class to class listening to lectures. My favorite time of day… (not really)
1:20 PM: I begin my 30 minute commute to the dance studio.
1:50ish PM: I finally reach the studio, do my hair, get changed, and cram food in my mouth before I head to class.
2:15- 5:30 (occasionally 6:30 PM): Ballet class and rehearsals
6:00 (occasionally 7:00 PM): I get home, eat dinner, shower, do laundry, and prepare for the next day.
8:00 PM- 12:30 AM (typically but varies): Homework and study
There you have it; this is the average day in the life of me! Let me know in the comments if you enjoyed this or if there are any posts that YOU would like to see… Have a great Wednesday! 🙂

“You guys were beautiful. This made me feel young again. Thank you!”
I had the most amazing time performing for the residents at the assisted living facility this morning. It warmed my heart to bring the arts back into the lives of these seniors, and I can’t tell you how rewarding it was to see the smiles on their faces. I will absolutely do this again, and I highly encourage YOU to share your talent, hobby, or joy with your local community. No matter how small and simple it may seem, people will appreciate it more than you will ever know…
Memories flood back from Homecoming 2017 when the five of us made our grand entrance to the school in a minivan with string lights and loud music. We danced until we lost our shoes, laughed until our stomachs hurt, consumed more sweets than we should have, and fell in love with the NYC themed courtyard…
After the dance ended, we were escorted back to my friend’s house where we all enjoyed a bonfire and stayed up until 5:00 AM. That night was definitely one to remember, and memories continue to race through my mind as this year’s annual event comes to an official close. I watch as decorations are taken down from the high school, and I flashback to last year… Homecoming 2017
“October gave a party; The leaves by hundreds came- The Ashes, Oaks, and Maples, And leaves of every name. The sunshine spread a carpet, And every thing was grand; Miss Weather led the dancing; Professor Wind, the band…”
October is inching closer by the day, and the Autumn season has officially begun! I never fail to see the magic of this season, and I love watching the vibrant leaves transform before my eyes. Here is to the apple cider sipping, pumpkin carving, homemade pie season that always brings happy memories…
Enjoy your first day of fall!
