The Buck Target

christmas18

My sister and I got a rubber buck target from our parents this Christmas, and we have had so much fun strengthening our archery skills (and arm muscles) these past couple of days. I really love our new target because it is so much more exciting than the paper targets that we had used in the past. However, this is the closest I will ever get to a buck with my bow because I think killing a real animal would be too emotionally hard for me. Fishing doesn’t bother me, but I have absolutely no doubt that hunting big game would. Maybe this will change in the future, but I will only use targets for now.

Have you been hunting before? Do you enjoy archery? I hope that you all had an amazing Christmas!

Alice in Wonderland Casting!

colorful

We are switching gears at the studio as we begin to prepare for our February production if Alice in Wonderland. The Nutcracker, snow, and peppermint offerings have been replaced by a giant Cheshire cat, mushrooms, and small cups of tea… Right after the busy weekend in the theater, casting was released, and we started to learn the first few dances of this ballet. I am looking forward to performing as Alice’s sister, maid, and deck of cards lead. I am so proud of my friend who was cast as Alice, and I cannot wait to watch her shine on that stage. It is going to be a great show, and I am excited to watch this magnificent story unfold.

Sweet Sixteen

birthday

This past year of my life was filled with so many great memories, and I had experiences of a lifetime… From holding my new baby sister for the very first time to watching ABT perform Le Corsaire in New York City, I had a great 15th year. Today, however, I get a new number that will fill my life with its own new adventures.

I have to say that it is pretty cool to be able to share it with this little munchkin. I still cannot believe that our birthdays are only one day apart… Here is to her first!

& here is to Sweet Sixteen!

New Birds!!!!!

Welcome home Kiwi and Olive!!!!

I am so thankful that I was finally able to adopt you… I can’t even begin to explain how happy I am to finally bring you two precious angels home. I have owned parakeets since I was just a little girl, so this past year has been very lonely for me. I need to let you know that I went through so much to get you here, and it was not an easy roller coaster ride of convincing! I promise that my sister and I will take VERY good care of you, and we are looking forward to the time that we will spend together.

It is going to be a great new school year now that I have someone to study with again, and I can’t wait to experience Sophomore year with you guys… I love you Kiwi and Olive. Welcome to your new home!
