“I learned not to trust people; I learned not to believe what they say but to watch what they do. I learned to suspect that anyone is capable of living a lie. I came to believe that other people- even when you think you know them well- are ultimately unknowable”

After searching and searching….searching… and searching for a dress to wear for Homecoming next weekend, I FINALLY FOUND THE ONE! Not only is it my favorite color, but it is fits me so well!! Now, it is time for the real struggle that always drains my idea bucket: hair styles/makeup/nails/etc… 🙂
This year’s theme: ‘New York, New York!’
-Lastly, get ready for the America Library of Poetry contest RESULTS IN 3 DAYS!
In continuation of my previous post:
As promised, here is the poem that I have submitted to the America Library of Poetry Contest!! 🙂
Through The Eyes
Through the eyes of a dancer,
the movements unfold,
telling you stories that have never been told…
Through the eyes of a writer,
you read deep into the soul,
feeling the pages of secrets slowly unroll.
Through the eyes of a ballerina,
you experience the truth
about all of the days of work that we spend of our youth
Through the eyes of an artist,
the vibrant canvas unwinds
as all of the shapes and colors combine…
When you look into the eyes of me,
tell me… What do YOU see?
For, this is all that I am and ever hope to be…
What do you think???? Do you have any ideas that would have made this even better? I would love to hear your input in the comments section.
