My pumpkin this year is definitely scary, and it just so happens to be one of the most abstract pumpkins that I have ever carved… Honestly, I was quite disappointed with it at first, but I have thoroughly enjoyed laughing at myself and other people’s interpretations of what it is suppose to be. Therefore, I am hosting a fun contest on Maysa Rose to see if anyone can correctly guess my pumpkin carving. The winner and answer will be announced in my next post; will it be YOU? Drop your guess in the comments section below and have a safe and Happy Halloween 2018!
“October gave a party; The leaves by hundreds came- The Ashes, Oaks, and Maples, And leaves of every name. The sunshine spread a carpet, And every thing was grand; Miss Weather led the dancing; Professor Wind, the band…”
October is inching closer by the day, and the Autumn season has officially begun! I never fail to see the magic of this season, and I love watching the vibrant leaves transform before my eyes. Here is to the apple cider sipping, pumpkin carving, homemade pie season that always brings happy memories…
Enjoy your first day of fall!
A few days ago, the casting for this year’s production of The Nutcracker was released. My friends and I had been discussing the possibilities for weeks now, and we had all been anxiously waiting to find out if our predictions were accurate.. I have been cast as a maid, the snow queen, and marzipan. I had never imagined that I would have been selected for these roles, and I am incredibly thankful.
The enchanted forest of snow has always been one of my favorite scenes out of the entire ballet, and I am absolutely honored to have been cast as the queen. I had always hoped that I would perform marzipan someday, but I never expected it to be so soon…
My very first rehearsal is Tuesday. Wish me luck! 🙂
A few days ago, something crazy happened:
I earned my drivers license.
For months, I had been dreading the day that my parents would hand me the keys and let me drive alone. I never wanted that pair of knowledgeable eyes to go away as I maneuvered a vehicle on the road. It is a huge responsibility, and I understand the risks that are associated with it. Now, I have passed my drivers test with a pretty good score, my confidence has definitely gone up (not too high). 🙂 Even though I am still uneasy about this milestone, I am ready to begin this new adventure as a licensed driver… Wish me luck!
“I believe in America because we have great dreams, and because we have the opportunity to make those dreams come true.”
Happy Independence Day!
Wishing all of my readers and followers a safe, enjoyable, and fantastic 4th of July!
“A father is someone you look up to no matter how tall you grow.”
(I loved this quote, despite my short stature.)
I am so thankful to have such a fantastic father… You have taught me so much and have made me the person I am today. It has been an incredible 16 years, and I am looking forward to all of the wonderful more to come. I love you so much, and I am proud to call you my dad. HAPPY FATHERS DAY!
A HUGE congrats to Sarah, Rose, Mandy, Christine, Grace, Sophia, Anna Jean, and Gwendolyn on graduation! Wishing you all the best as you begin this new, exciting chapter of your lives. I know that you will all accomplish great things, and I am thrilled for each of you… Congratulations! 🙂
Sweet 16 celebration. ‘End of the Year’ party. Graduation parties.
It was a great week, and I am so glad to have spent it with such an awesome group of people. I am so thankful for everyone who invited me to celebrate with them, because I had an absolute blast (and I even got to reunite with a really close friend!)
Thank you for all of the memories… Thank you for all of the smiles… Thank you for always being there for me… I love you all!
